FAQ

  • Squarespace is one of the largest and most powerful website building platforms in the world. I prefer working in Squarespace because because it offers almost unlimited design freedom while being super user-friendly for my clients.

  • Squarespace is an all-in-one platform, meaning your domain, hosting, security and support are all under one roof. No need for special security extensions or bouncing back and forth between multiple companies trying to keep everything running smoothly.

Squarespace also has an award-winning support team that is available 24/7 to assist with any issues.

Pricing is transparent and simple; you can pay monthly or yearly for website hosting, including features like blogging, contact forms, ecommerce, password protected pages, social media integration and more as standard.

As a Circle Member, I am able to offer clients 20% off their first year of Squarespace.

  • As with any website host, you have to pay a monthly or annual hosting fee.

You can find Squarespace's pricing on their website, but most of my clients require either the Business Plan, or the Basic Commerce Plan. If you work with me, you can get 20% off your first year too!

(Note: This cost, along with the cost of your domain, is separate to my website design fee.)

  • You, my friend, are my ideal client! My process is specifically designed to be easy and stress-free for you as possible. I will talk you through each stage clearly and let you know exactly how to prepare.

Once we launch, I don't leave you hanging! I will provide you with training that teaches you exactly how to manage your site on your own.

The great thing about Squarespace is that it is a totally managed platform. This means that all updates, maintenance, security and tech is taken care of for you so you don’t ever need to think about it.

Not convinced? We can also discuss ongoing maintenance plans if you still feel that you need extra assistance. I got you!

  • Typically, we begin with a short intro call where we discuss what your needs and goals are.

Afterwards I'll provide you with a quote, and if everything looks good we'll get your project booked!

I'll send over a contract with an invoice for your initial payment, as well as a few 'homework' items for you to complete. This vital step ensures that I have everything needed to get started, such as your images, copy, service descriptions, etc.

As the project progresses, you'll have several opportunities to provide feedback and request edits.

Once the site is complete, you will give a final review, pay the remaining balance, and the site goes live! Woo!

But don't worry, I won't disappear! I'll provide training for you to be able to manage your site on your own and I also provide two weeks of personal support where I will be available to answer any questions and make sure everything is working as expected.

  • In addition to my design fee, there are some additional expenses that may be necessary to bring your website to life.

    1. Your Squarespace Plan. This can be purchased on a monthly or yearly basis. I will help you choose which plan is best for you, plus with my Circle Membership, I can get you 20% off your first year.

    2. Your Domain. This can be purchased and managed through Squarespace if you don't already have one. Cost is typically around $20 per year.

    3. Some Third-Party Applications. Some website functions require an extra subscription fee, such as scheduling apps or appointment setting software. These are optional, depending on if you need them for your business or not.

  • No worries! Consider my packages a 'jumping off point' to give you a basic idea of what prices you can expect. However, if you need something different than what you see, just get in touch and we can chat about your requirements in more detail!

  • Once you're booked on my schedule, I will guide you through exactly what I need from you and how to prepare.

You’ll receive my client questionnaire, plus a checklist of what I need from you for your website, which will be uploaded to a shared, secure Google folder.
